Street Fighter: Semi Final Recap

This was it. One best of seven series to make it to the Grand Finals of the Elite Series. It was all to play for and an incredible display of Street Fighter between two great teams. Let's take a look at what went down.

Infused Street Fighter

Sean "ImStillDaDaddy" Dench

Anthony "GuN SLinGa" Phillips

Afsar "Afii" Ali

First up would be Gun Slinga taking on Layo. A very close opening round went in favour before Layo levelled the match. Layo looked to have the momentum over Balrog, taking the deciding third round to give Envy the early lead in the series. Game two would be Afii against Nassim Claw. Some patient play from Afii secured the first round. A closer second round between the players but Afii was able to take it to level the series at 1-1.

Game three would see ISDD battling it out against a confident Confz. The general delivered a swift two rounds to give the boys in red a 2-1 lead in the series. Afii would return to the helm to face Confz. A very close first round went in favour of Confz who was looking to redeem himself. Afii answered straight back in the second to take the game to a third round but Confz managed to secure the round to level the series once again!

A very back and forth series between the two sides would continue with Gun Slinga against Nassim Claw. A very easy first round for Gun Slinga gave him the early advantage before Nassim Claw responded with two rounds to give Envy a 3-2 lead. Would we see a game seven? Gun Slinga stayed on to take on Confz. The Envy player came out with two convincing rounds to take the series 4-2.

GGWP to Envyus. We finish season one of Street Fighter V in 4th place. We'll be back stronger for season two!
