Street Fighter Season 2: Week 7 Recap

With only a single point needed in our match against Method, let's take a look back at what was a fiercely fought contest.

Gun Slinga would do battle with Verdoyance in the opening game of the series. Our Balrog was in fine form, taking both rounds in quick succession to grab the early lead. Game two would see Shakz take on Packz. A very close first round went in favour of Shakz before he was able to take the second round to secure a 2-0 lead for the boys in red.

In his first match of the series, ISDD would face NastyNas. An unorthodox Laura pick from The General looked to be paying off as he won the first round. Nas would respond by taking the nest two rounds to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

Shakz would return to play Verdoyance in game four, where he took another convincing win to further their advantage to 3-1. After some back and forth games between the two teams, it all came down to a deciding game seven. The boys in red had already secured their place in the playoffs by taking at least a point from this series. Could they close out the win?

Unluckily, Method managed to emerge from the game as victors but all that mattered was that the squad had reached the top four.

GGWP to Method. We did it! The team have booked their place in the playoffs and will be focused on taking home the title.

See you back at the arena on the 1st of December for the Semi-Finals AND Grand Finals of #SFV! #RedArmy
