Today, our campaign at the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship gets underway against Lethal Gaming and Mindfreak. Let's take a look at the group ahead of the action.
Infused Call of Duty
Alex "Alexx" Carpenter
Deleo "Zerg" Devitt
Nick "Nolson" Nolson
Niall "Niall" Sunderland
The boys in red will be looking to make it out of the group and into the championship bracket but it won't be an easy task. Their first game against Lethal Gaming will probably be their easiest match in group C and they'll be looking to kick off their world championship with a victory. Their second game of the group will be much more of a challenge as the team face Mindfreak, Australia's best team. As with every world championship, the Australian contingent always put in a good showing on the world stage and I'm expecting nothing different. The boys in red can certainly take down the Australian powerhouse then they'll be in contention for one of the top two seeds in the group.
Their final match of the group will be against eUnited. Tipped by many as contenders to take the whole tournament, the boys in red may have their work cut out against the North American juggernaut but anything can happen in Call of Duty and often does. If the squad stick to their game, there's a definite chance of an upset.
1st: eUnited 3-0
2nd: Team Infused 2-1
3rd: Mindfreak 1-2
4th: Lethal Gaming 0-3
As much as I'd like to see Infused take down eUnited, I don't think that will be the case. I see the North Amercan team topping the group with a flawless record. Our match against Mindfreak is a huge game. A victory is definitely possible but the Australians are not to be underestimated. If the team perform to their full potential, I can see them coming out of the group with the second seed. Who knows, maybe even a deep run in the championship bracket too?
