Infused Call of Duty
Alex "Alexx" Carpenter
Deleo "Zerg" Devitt
Nick "Nolson" Nolson
Niall "Niall" Sunderland
Kicking off the second day of competiton, the boys in red began the day with a 1-1 record in group C after a win against Lethal Gaming and a loss against Mindfreak. Their final game of the group would be against eUnited. A relatively close Scorch HP went in favour of the North American side to give them an early lead in the series. A back and forth S&D ended 6-4 in favour of the opposition giving them a 2-0 lead. A win in the Uplink would secure the team's place in the championship bracket.
The squad managed to hold onto a slender lead on Throwback Uplink for the vast majority of the game but it wasn't enough as some late scores from eUnited wrapped up the series victory for the American team. The team weren't out of the tournament just yet. A 3-way tie between Mindfreak and Lethal would decide who gets the last spot in the top 16.
The first S&D would be against Lethal. A crucial 4v2 in round 4 went in our favour to take an early 3-1 lead. A great performance from Niall and Nolson secured the first win for the boys in red. One more win against Mindfreak and they would make it. The squad had the momentum on their side, a phenomenal 3K from Nolson grabbed the opening round. Mindfreak responded and quickly moved into a 4-2 lead. Some effective trading from the team bought the game back to 4-4 before Zerg began to go off. That sparked the beginning of the end for Mindfreak, Infused went on to win 6-4 to book their place in the bracket.
GGWP to eUnited, Lethal and Mindfreak. We face Rise Nation for a place in the top 8!
