The opening day of the 2017 Call of Duty Championships has come to a close. Infused CoD began their campaign against Lethal Gaming and Mindfreak. Let's see how it went down.

Deleo "Zerg" Devitt
Nick "Nolson" Nolson
Niall "Niall" Sunderland
The boys in red kicked off the day against Lethal Gaming in the opening game of the day. In a back and forth game, it was Lethal who managed to secure Breakout Hardpoint 250-201 to take the early advantage in the series. Infused responded, taking Crusher S&D 6-2 to level the series at 1-1. The boys in red began to fire on all cylinders on Precinct Uplink. Great slaying and clinical passing enabled the team secure a dominant 14-4 lead to grab a 2-1 series lead. The momentum was rolling for the team, as they took the following HP in convincing fashion to secure the series 3-1.
The next game against Mindfreak would be another close contest. The Australians opened the series with a close 250-212 match on Retaliation HP. Moving into Throwback S&D, the game was very close between the teams but the boys in red came out on top in a round 11 decider to level the series at 1-1. Zerg and Nolson dropped double digits to grab the win for the team. Heading into Frost Uplink, it was yet another close contest, with Mindfreak taking a close victory and a 2-1 lead in the series. The Australians were looking strong in the next HP, grabbing the win in another fairly close contest. We lost the series 3-1.
After day one of the tournament, the boys in red currently sit in tied second in Group C. With one game remaining against eUnited, even a map win could decide the fate of the squad. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
GGWP to Lethal Gaming and Mindfreak. We'll be back in action tomorrow!
