Over the weekend JonnyREcco managed to take 3rd at the Blizzard StarCraft 2 National WCS UK Finals guaranteeing himself a paid trip to the WCS Europe Finals and taking home $1,350!

Ourk and Moomin also attended the event and placed a respectable 4th and 9 - 16th place gaining themselves $900 and $250, however they fell just outside the Top 3 bracket to secure a place at the WCS Europe Finals.



The event was sponsored by Blizzard, Intel, Tt eSPORTS, PNY and Twitch.tv, it also featured the famous casting archon Nick “Tasteless” Plott and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski.

Throughout the tournament JonnyREcco made an impressive run taking down Stone 2 - 0 in the first round to win a close 2 - 1 series against Ourk. Moving onto Winner Bracket Round 3 he faced DeMuslim who he taken out 2 - 0 with his impressive late game style to move onto the Winner Bracket Finals against Ziktomimi.

In the WB Finals JonnyREcco is guaranteed a Top 3 finish. However he loses his first series of the tournament, going 1 - 2 against Ziktomini falling to the loser bracket. In the Loser Bracket Finals JonnyREcco would have to play DeMuslim who he earlier 2 - 0'd in the tournament. However, Jonny fell 1 - 2 in the series but still places Top 3 gaining himseld a place at the WCS Europe Finals and taking home $1,350 from the prize pool.
