It's that time of week again! Infused CoD will be competing in the third MLG 2K tournament of the year, looking to grab those essential Pro Points as we head towards a busy few months of CoD esports action.

Having secured their attendance at CWL London next weekend, the boys in red will be looking to cement their spot in the top 6, guaranteeing a spot in Pool Play at MLG Atlanta and at ESWC later in the year. Let's take a look at what is set to be a fascinating tournament.

After finishing 4th in last week's tournament, Infused have been hard at work scrimming Europe's top teams, getting in some vital practice ahead of CWL London next weekend. As of January 20th, the squad sit in 4th on the EU Pro Points ladder, with only 300 points separating them from 2nd place.

This week the squad will be looking to improve on their previous results by reaching the finals, but they will be up against some tough opposition. The team’s performances mean they’re 4th in the Pro Points ladder with only 300 points between 4th and 2nd. There's a lot at stake in this particular tournament as this means a good result could secure the 2nd seed ahead of CWL London next weekend.

We can expect a strong showing from the usual suspects in the tournament. Orbit, Elevate and  Splyce have been looking exceptional in scrims and Pro Point matches and will be focused on another strong performance. In my opinion, the skill gap between the top European teams is exceptionally close meaning these 2K tournaments are incredibly important in qualifying for the upcoming LAN League, taking place at the MLG Arena later on in the year.

Another question heading into the 2K will be how well the new Fnatic roster will perform. Formerly known as "Team Tommey" his team have landed themselves in one of the most snynonymous organisations in esports after leaving the CoD scene back in 2012. A good showing from them in the tournament, will all but confirm their attendance at MLG Atlanta and ESWC later on in the year. They sit in 5th, less than 3,000 points from 4th means if they win

Infused will be focused on getting those 2,000 Pro Points as the battle for supremacy of the European CoD scene continues. With the Pro Points ladder being so close, teams cannot afford a poor showing this weekend. As with every 2K, could we see a totally unknown entity rise up from the ranks and cause a huge upset? We'll have to find out...
