This past Sunday, Infused CoD were in action in the second MLG 2K tournament of 2017. This 2K was particularly important for the squad as it was the last tournament before the cut-off for the upcoming CWL London event. Let's see how the squad got on as they look to earn those all important Pro Points as we head into a busy few months of Call of Duty esports action!

Infused improved on last weeks performance by placing in the top 4, defeating the likes of Epsilon who beat a very strong Supremacy side, before falling down to again eventual winners Splyce. The squad showed their improvements, only dropping 2 games throughout the whole tournament before their loss to Splyce. This tournament placing will give a slight boost to the squad for improving on last weeks performance and can take pride in unfortunately losing to the winners of the tournament again but will be fired up for more after edging slowly closer to the finals in each tournament so far.

It was a strong showing for all the top teams in the competiton with most teams making light work of the early competition and seemingly only losing games to the top teams. For tournament winners Splyce it was almost a close call as Team QwiKeR took their game count 2-2 before Splyce edged it out in a deciding game 5. Orbit also faced a similar ordeal against Aerox which would have caused a surprise result and may well have shifted the Pro Points standings. In the end for Splyce they took to the finals with ease, taking a 3-0 victory over eLevate.

This weeks tournament saw a small change around in the standings. For example, we saw supremacy in the final of the last 2K against Orbit but this week we saw both teams knocked out respectively by Epsilon and eLevate. This perhaps shows a possible trend now as teams are well underway in practice and scrims so it's quite possible we could be seeing the top teams beginning to have consistent placings in these online tournaments.

Infused's semi-final defeat puts them 4th in the Pro Point ladder on 22,005 points, just under fellow semi-finalists Orbit on 22,810. Both teams sit close behind front runners, Elevate and Splyce respectively. As we approach the final 2K tournament with CWL London and MLG Atlanta right around the corner teams cannot afford a drop in their performances with the Pro Point ladder still being so close, one good tournament performance could shake up the table once more.

With this result, Infused CoD have secured their spot for CWL London! We'll see you in London for a great weekend of CoD esports action!
